Breaking away from offense-forgiveness cycle

Breaking away from offense-forgiveness cycle

Two ISKCON greatest gurus explain how to be offended and how to forgive.

If you listen to any ISKCON lecture these days, especially lectures by very pure devotees, it always revolves around “not being offensive” and “not criticizing”. This is like the most important thing not to criticize. I understand that this is dangerous since sannyasis who travel with girlfriends can get a heart attack if they are exposed.

But, we are missing two very important. We have the knowledge about how not to offend, but we don’t have the knowledge of how to be offended. And once we are offended, we also need knowledge of how to forgive. Therefore, we have brought together the knowledge of two ISKCON gurus:

  • JP Sears das brahmacari – who distributes Srila Prabhupada’s books for the last 30 years, and was offended numerous times when people rejected the book.
  • Mahatma dasa Adhikari – Forgiveness expert who is running most effecting Gestapo facebook page, if you quote Prabhupada on his page, you will not be forgiven.

Conclusion

I would like to quote Srila Prabhupada on “being offended” and “forgiving daily”, but Prabhupada never talked about this nonsense.
